Do you know what Nanovor is? The best way to answer that is to explain the foundation of the game. Nanovor is a very unique game that allows gamers reaches from the online realm into reality. Smith and Tinker’s new digital card game is free to try and, if you play your cards right, you’ll receive additional free Nanovor cards! When playing the game, your objective is to collect various “Nanovor creatures” and build them into a winning deck, or as Nanovor gamers call it, a “swarm”.

Your swarm can be used to complete quests, trade for other cards, or wage battles. How does a gamer collect creatures? After you receive your free starter pack, you can add new creatures to your swarm with “Nanocash”, the currency of Nanovor. If you don’t want to spend your nanocash, you can evolve your creatures by using points earned in a successful battle to buy an energy modulator, or EM.

Why is Nanovor so different from the other card games and online digital worlds? It’s simple – “The Nanoscope”. The Nanoscope is a small electronic device that includes a screen which will be released in October. It allows the game to be taken from online into reality and back to online. Not only is the technology used for this device easy enough for kids to understand, but it is also priced in a way parents will be able to afford it. Gamers can load their creatures and stats onto the device from any computer using a USB cable.

The Nanoscope can be taken anywhere and can provide endless entertainment. Just imagine, you and your friends all have Nanoscopes which you link together with the built-in magnetic connectors and then it’s game time as your swarms battle each other across every screen! After the battle the stats and records from the battle will be stored on the various Nanoscopes so they can later be downloaded to a computer and placed on the Nanovor’s servers. Once the information reaches the Nanovor’s servers, the gamers profiles will be updated to include the information from the battle, including stats and points.

And that’s not all! You can also earn “Jolt Points” whenever you play one of the four different mini games available on the Nanoscope. “Jolt Points” offer unique creature upgrades that can’t be earned with normal battle points. If this is not enough to excite the gamer, the Nanovor site also offer the option of purchasing an additional cartridge for the Nanoscope that gives players access to additional challenges.

Still wondering what Nanovor really is? The world of Nanovor is so complicated and evolved that it would take an article much longer than this one to fully explain. Plus, since Nanovor is so unique in its complexities and it interactiveness, it is not possible to compare it to any other game. What the heck is Nanovor? It is, quite simply, the best game you’ll ever play.

Rumors of StarCraft II has been circling around ever since the hugely popular and successful award-winning StarCraft released in 1998. And after a decade, it finally becomes a reality. StarCraft II, originally envisioned as a single game, was announced to be a trilogy at BlizzCon 2008. The game will consist of base game called Wings of Liberty and two subsequent expansion sets, entitled Heart of the Swarm and Legacy of the Void.

And here’s the preview of Wings of Liberty.

Starcraft-Source has an interesting post about it in their Wings of Liberty Experience article. You might also want to read Dustin Browder Q&A – Wings of Liberty to get a additional information of what’s to come.

By the way for Mac enthusiasts, the game was developed for concurrent release on Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X. Save up boys, you might get a hand of it early next year. Plenty of time to save.

Action, Role Playing

Overview

Monster Hunter games revolve around three specific types of locations: the town you live in, where you prepare for missions and improve your gear, the guild hall, where you organize group hunts, and the hunting grounds, where you hunt monsters of various shapes and sizes, as well as hunt for materials and consumables to aid your hunts. The town itself is essentially where you’ll spend your time prepping yourself, and there are numerous things to do around town. Your house allows you to review various documents you acquire, manage your inventory and equipment, save your game, and pet your pig, just because. You also have a kitchen set up in the back, which can be staffed with Felynes, semi-sentient cat creatures who can cook up meals for you that might give you some nice stat boosts… if they don’t poison you in the process. The town square contains your item and weapon shops, where you can buy new gear, build new equipment from component parts, upgrade weapons, and attach stat-improving gems to said equipment to improve your stats. You can also talk to the town elder to take on new quests, the old cat lady to recruit new Felynes, and the other town residents to gain useful information. There’s a farm, named Pokke Farm, where you can mine for valuable ores, plant seeds, scavenge for useful items and insects, and other odd things. You can also head to the training hall to learn basic and advanced techniques with the various different weapons by facing off against monsters of different sorts.

The core game offers, quite literally, hundreds of hours of play and replay value, between the large variety of quests to take on and monsters to slay, for both one and multiple players. There is a large amount of gear to find and build, items to use, and other worthwhile things to work with, and with the large amount of new and existing content in the game, you’ll have a lot of things to experiment with. Players can also import their characters from both prior Monster Hunter Freedom games to give themselves a bonus to start out, with Monster Hunter Freedom 1 players receiving a cash bonus to start off and Monster Hunter Freedom 2 players being given their characters from that game, equipment and all, ready to go, so veterans of that game can jump into this game immediately and get right to the new content. As noted prior, the game also allows for Wifi play for up to four players, either locally or online with a program like XLink Kai, meaning you can jump right in with friends and obliterate monsters with like-minded folks whenever your heart desires.

Role Playing

Overview

The game features characters from different Final Fantasy games and centers around a great conflict between the heroes and villains, as the god of discord, Chaos, tries to wrest control of their worlds from the forces of good.

It looks like a fighting game, but that’s not quite the full story behind Dissidia. Despite looking like the Final Fantasy equivalent of Smash Bros., bringing together dozens of heroes and villains from the series’ entire history, Dissidia is also one part RPG and one part strategy board game. The one-on-one fighting portions are simply how players go about earning items and experience for their battle versus Chaos. Needless to say, it’s gorgeous…and completely over-the-top.

Platform

Overview

The sequel stays true to the tilt-and-go gameplay of the original, through more than two dozen 2D scrolling stages. The little LocoRoco behave something like droplets of oil in water between two panes of glass. Players guide them through 2D platform challenges by pressing the right and left trigger buttons to tilt the entire level, clockwise or counterclockwise, and using gravity to shepherd the blobs where they need to go.

As in the first game, the evil, aurally oppressive Moja tribe threatens the peaceful LocoRoco, who must be guided to safety by the player. The little blobs sing happily, almost the whole while. Musical note icons, collected along the way, can be used to give the LocoRoco helpful powers and abilities. A new, purple LocoRoco joins the gang from the original game, and all seven of the colorful, amorphous main characters now have names and personality traits. LocoRoco 2 also features six new mini-games, in which the LocoRoco take on new forms to perform new tasks.

No matter which Sim the player is currently following, however, all the characters in the neighborhood are active whenever the game is being played. Events that take place on the other side of town can have an effect on situations all across the neighborhood, just as the player’s characters may influence the rest of the community with their actions (or inaction).
The Create-A-Sim system in the Sims 3 refines the powerful tools featured in the Sims 2. Players have much more finely graduated control over many physical aspects of the characters they create.

This is one of the most annoying stages of Patapon if you don’t know what to do. You may have destroyed the two towers but can’t get through the barricades and onto the windmill (which is the last tower). Add to that are the never ending assault of Ziggy Dekapon.

But after you watch the video below, you’ll realize that it is actually an easy stage. All you have to do is kill the Gold Motiti at World Of Ooze. That will give you the Tailwind Miracle which you will use to counter the wind released by the windmill which in turn makes the arrows of your yumipons ineffective. Suffice to say, you have to be very good at keeping the FEVER at all times. Not only on this stage but in all other stages as well.
