Overview

The game features characters from different Final Fantasy games and centers around a great conflict between the heroes and villains, as the god of discord, Chaos, tries to wrest control of their worlds from the forces of good.

It looks like a fighting game, but that’s not quite the full story behind Dissidia. Despite looking like the Final Fantasy equivalent of Smash Bros., bringing together dozens of heroes and villains from the series’ entire history, Dissidia is also one part RPG and one part strategy board game. The one-on-one fighting portions are simply how players go about earning items and experience for their battle versus Chaos. Needless to say, it’s gorgeous…and completely over-the-top.
